South Dakota Branch Out 2008

Registration is now open for the

Branch Out South Dakota 2008 Conference
Friday, July 18th

H. M. Briggs Library – South Dakota State University

Brookings, SD

Branch Out SD is a fun one-day conference designed by and for library support staff and paraprofessionals
and will include sessions and speakers addressing issues pertinent to library support staff.

To register, go to http://sdlabranchout08.wikispaces.com/Registration (Note – some of the sessions are limited in size so get your registration in early to get the sessions you want.)

The conference features a keynote presentation from:

Dee Dee Raap, author of Dear Mom: Remembering, Celebrating, Healing, her journey of finding the values of her mother’s life and claiming them as her own.

As our keynote speaker, Dee Dee will kick off the conference with her presentation, 'High Tide on The Prairie: Making the Journey Great’. How do we succeed in today’s world? How do we as individuals make a difference for those we serve? And how can we make it fun and take care of ourselves in the process?

Author and speaker Dee Dee Raap believes life becomes an amazing journey when we become the best we can be every day. And we can do that by taking care of ourselves, anchoring our lives to the gifts that we can give ourselves—self-care, a positive attitude, purpose, courage and the legacy of values given us by our moms—gifts that nurture and help us not only be the best we can be, but influence others to take the same journey. Dee Dee Raap will unleash the natural energy of her audience by helping each person give themselves the five gifts to make their journey great—every day!

A wide variety of sessions will be offered during the conference including:
